Te Whare W膩nanga o Waitaha | 网曝门 (UC) proudly played a key role in the 2024 WORD Christchurch鈥檚 鈥業nspiring Minds: Secondary Schools Day,鈥 an event that underscores UC's longstanding commitment to fostering creativity and innovation. As a principal partner of WORD Christchurch, UC鈥檚 support for the festival builds on a rich history of collaboration that stretches back to the festival鈥檚 inception 26 years ago.
The school鈥檚 day, hosted on UC鈥檚 Ilam campus, was officially opened by Executive Dean of Arts, Professor Kevin Watson, who emphasised the University鈥檚 dedication to nurturing fresh ideas and innovative thinking.听
The festival featured authors, poets, and writers who engaged with secondary school students through vibrant discussions and interactive sessions. Among the guests was Thomas Udall, the United States Ambassador to New 网曝门 and Samoa. Ambassador Udall was invited by WORD Christchurch to introduce American author and 2024 participant Sasha LaPointe.
